Meet the HighPoint Executive Team

Jose Peres, Product Strategy, Development and Operations
Mr. Peres is also the chief architect for the HighPoint Mobile Solution. A technology industry veteran, Mr. Peres has 17 years of management and leadership experience in the ERP market in both Commercial and Higher Education sectors, with specifically eight years in the Higher Education market. Before joining HighPoint, Mr. Peres was the Director of ERP Systems for Florida International University. He was instrumental in transitioning their information technology department from a legacy system to mainstream ERP applications and providing new direction that embraced new emerging technologies. Mr. Peres originally worked for PeopleSoft as a Project Manager and Technical Consultant, advising, planning and executing implementations for Fortune 500 companies on PeopleSoft Human Resource, Payroll and Student Administration systems. During his time at PeopleSoft Mr. Peres worked in the North America, Latin America and Caribbean regions.

George Amalor, Founder and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Amalor is the Executive Lead for service delivery for consulting and product support. Prior to founding HighPoint in 2006, George spent 10 years assisting various clients with their technological transformations across a broad spectrum of industries. At HighPoint, he was the co-architect of HighPoint Message Center and has successfully led several of HighPoint’s initiatives in the Higher Education sector.

Mario Albuerne, Sales and Business Development
Mr. Albuerne is the Sales and Business Development Partner for HighPoint.  He is an accomplished, trilingual technology executive with 17 years of global experience selling, managing, implementing, and mentoring corporate adoption and quality assurance of highly-sophisticated enterprise resource planning (ERP), financial planning, supply chain planning, and electronic commerce business applications.  Mr. Albuerne has significant experience selling and managing implementations of Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions, Financials, Human Capital Management, and Supplier Relationship Management software solutions for Higher Education, State and Local governments, and Commercial organizations.  He has also established e-Commerce entrepreneurships with Commerce One and Pandesic (a joint-venture between Intel and SAP).  His professional business relationships in several industries include Higher Education and Public Sector organizations, Fortune 500 companies, Tier 1 and 2 consulting firms, telecommunications companies, and financial institutions in the United States, Latin America, and Europe.
